Impact

When we design products and services, we are always confronted with the complexity of our world. Each micro decision, creation, innovation can have very important consequences on human beings, the environment, the economy, the culture… and not only on the end user.

It’s important to question our choices, in order to give more meaning to service design and innovation in general. Design is a powerful tool that can bring a positive change. It can also help the user become more aware of the effects of his own choices, directly or indirectly.

At ENGIE specifically, our goal is to help companies and territories engage in their zero-carbon transition. To implement this transition, we offer global and sophisticated products to reduce the energy consumption and increase our clients’ energy efficiency.

This is why, for everything we create, we try to keep in mind the effect it will have on the environment, on the user’s energy consumption, on its well-being, etc. to create the perfect service/product that will move towards zero-carbon emissions.

To help everyone incorporate this thinking into their products and services, we have drawn up a list of questions based on twenty values (values that evolve over time and are specific to each individual) that are used for the general interest and are therefore very important for the common good and the civilization.

This list is intended for designers, developers, PO, clients and anyone involved in service design to help them adopt a holistic vision and design responsible digital products.
